TOUR DESCRIPTION:
Day 1- You will be picked up at the ISTANBUL airport (If you arrive with us in Istanbul, we will carry out the visa procedures) and you will be transferred to the hotel where we will host you. We recommend a boat trip on the Bosphorus, a channel that separates Europe and Asia. Visit the Spice Bazaar, see the magnificent and historic Basilica of Hagia Sophia, "the Pearl of Istanbul"; visit the famous Topkapi Palace, residence of the Ottoman sultans for four centuries and/or go to see the Blue Mosque or the Hippodrome.
Day 2-ISTANBUL - ANKARA – CAPPADOCIA – You will have breakfast and leave for Ankara, the capital of the Turkish Republic, where we will give you some time to explore it. Then you will go to Cappadocia. During the journey you will be able to observe the second widest and largest lake in Turkey, the Salt Lake or Lake Tuz, and you will marvel at the white of the panorama; And to end the day, have dinner and rest in Serhatlı, the mysterious city built underground by Christian groups, which defended themselves from Arab assaults.
Day 3-CAPPADOCIA- You will have breakfast and return to Cappadocia to visit some rock churches and their outstanding frescoes, in the Göreme museum. You will stop to contemplate the fabulous landscapes that the Avcilar and Güvercinlik valleys present to us and to end the day, you will visit the carpet, onyx and turquoise workshops, a place of the highest quality. You will have dinner and go to the hotel where you will stay. (While in Cappadocia, it is optional to participate in the folkloric dances, a typical show inside a cave and with unique drinks from the region, where we will also choose to travel in a hot air balloon at dawn). We will transfer you to the hotel where you will stay.
Day 4-CAPPADOCIA - KONYA – PAMUKKALE- You will have breakfast and early in the morning you will leave for the incredible capital of the Seleucid Empire, called Konya. On the way, you will visit the Seleucid Caravanserai "Sultanhan", a magnificent construction that served as an inn on the important silk route. When you arrive in Konya you will see the Mausoleum of the popular poet Mevlana. You will have lunch and start the route to Pamukkale; also called the “Cotton Castle” route. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5-PAMUKKALE - IZMIR AREA-You will have breakfast and go to live a unique adventure, in a territory that knew the conquering steps of Alexander the Great and the Romans, and where today the city of Hierapolis stands. You will visit the famous cotton castle, a natural wonder of gigantic white waterfalls, stalactites and natural pools formed over the centuries by the passage of waters laden with calcareous salts.
Day 6-BURSA – ISTANBUL-After breakfast, you will transfer by bus to the city of Bursa, a city located on the shores of the Sea of Marmara, and surrounded by lush green forests. The Green Mausoleum and the Green Mosque are two of the great attractions of the city. You will have the opportunity to visit the famous Silk Market or Koza Han Market, from the 14th century. Afterwards, you will go to Istanbul by bus and will be dropped off at your hotel to rest.
NOTE: Those who wish may choose a domestic flight to go to Istanbul for an additional cost.
Day 7-ISTANBUL- After breakfast, you will visit the Sehzade Mosque, or Sehzade Camii in Turkish, one of the most outstanding monuments in Istanbul, since it can be considered as the first representation of classical Ottoman architecture. But the history of this monument extends beyond its architectural importance. It is linked to the story of one of the greatest leaders of the Ottoman Empire, Suleiman the Magnificent, who ordered the construction of this temple in honor of two of his most beloved sons, Mustafa and Mehmet. Then you will go for an emblematic boat trip on the Bosphorus, a channel that separates Europe and Asia, starting from the Eimonönü pier. During this journey, we will be able to admire the beauty of a city. You can see the old and typical wooden houses and the Rumeli Fortress, an old fort that fulfilled the mission of monitoring maritime traffic.
Day 8-ISTANBUL- When you finish having breakfast, you can have your day to discover the city personally, or as an initiative, take the excursion "Jewels of Constantinople": First of all, on this excursion you will visit the Blue Mosque, the most outstanding among the Ottoman mosques and the Roman Hippodrome and visit Topkapi Palace, where the Ottoman sultans resided until the 19th century and where their most precious objects are. Next, you will get to know the most finished example of Byzantine art, called Hagia Sophia, and then go to the small city of domes, the Grand Bazaar; which has been built on an area of 45,000 m2 since the year 1660 and through its narrow streets we will discover its eighteen access doors and more than four thousand shops and squares. The price of the full day excursion is €55, including lunch. Accommodation.
Day 9-ISTANBUL- Have breakfast and agree, the time of departure to the airport. You will take your return flight and upon arrival our services will be fulfilled.
